Bloomers in Tunnel Hill
These beautiful pear trees line the street leading beside the Tunnel Hill Heritage Center. In the distance you can see the covered bridge and further on is Chetoogeta Mountain. The historic railroad tunnel isn't visible, although it's to the right beyond the bridge. This photo was taken in mid-March. The white blossoms are gone now - lots of rain and wind - but the other trees are 'furry' with their Spring buds. Come visit us in Tunnel Hill.
Thanks for visiting my photo blog! I live just over a mile from the Clisby Austin home and the battlefield. It's my favorite place to set up my easel and paint. If you'd like to see some of the paintings of the site, they're at www.artbybjwright.com. Hope to see you sometime at the "Battle of Tunnel Hill" Civil War reenactment in September. I'm always there painting.
Here you'll find photos I've taken in Georgia and neighboring Southern states. I'll also host images by other photographers in this area. I hope you enjoy the scenery. And please feel free to comment, ask questions and enjoy. You can leave comments on each post, or e-mail me at beejw@charter.net.
